THE 1st ANNUAL DERBY CITY CAVALCADE OF COMICS IS A SUCCESS!!...

By all indications, the first Cavalcade Of Comics (spin-off show of the Derby City Comic Con) was a success. Everyone I talked to enjoyed this first foray in filling the gap between DCCC shows. Of course, the crowd wasn't as hoped (it never is on a first shot), but was still decent. No doubt, things will pick up at subsequent shows.

Several contacts were made, as well as several creatively inspiring discussions with close friends and colleagues, Robert Hickey and Bill Nichols at Skystorm Studio. My only disappointment was the absence of friend, colleague, and Pantheon boardmember, Cary Lee Baker (3PM Comics), who had to cancel on the day of the show for personal reasons.

I did take a moment to get a few pics. Definitely looking forward to the next Cavalcade of Comics, as well as the next Derby City Comic-Con.
