When we stop to remember some of the horrors man inflicts upon his fellow man, it becomes difficult to whine about your own problems. This is, quite possibly the greatest tragedy to hit our country...ever. We weren't in some foreign land, fighting for freedom and suffering losses. This time, the enemy brought the battle to our very doorstep, in our very home, and that was the ultimate wake-up call. Like I have said many times, long before this ever happened. If the enemy is willing to die in order to achieve their goals, it becomes extremely difficult to stop them.

Terrorism, Holy Wars, whatever you want to call it, it is becoming increasingly evident that "the enemy" will stop at literally nothing to achieve their goal, whether it be instilling fear, unrest, or destruction. The question now is not, "What do we do to stop them?", but, "What are we willing to do to stop them?" I don't have a problem with wanting to keep a high moral profile, or promoting peace, democracy and whatnot. But, let's face it, if you're not willing to get down in the dirt and rip some lungs out, you can't realistically expect to defeat an enemy who does so without the slightest bit of hesitation.
