For quite some time now, I have been feeling this creative spiral downward. Every aspect of my creative being seemed to have been grinding to a depressing halt. Although I knew what to do on an intellectual level, I needed to finally look for inspiration rather than wait for it. There are a lot of things I want to do. I just need to make myself do it. I'm confident that, once I can get myself started, the rest will begin to fall into place. I also need to keep my creative spirit separate from the things going on in so-called "real life." This is supposed to be a refuge from that, not a causalty of it.

There is a lot of crap going on in my life right now, but I need to focus on what I have, not what I don't have. Sure, I've got problems, but anyone who says they don't are either kidding themselves or lying their asses off. I've got literally God-given creative talents, a loving wife, good friends, and so much more.

I can sit around here and mope about everything that's wrong in my life, which serves absolutely no purpose and achieves nothing, or I can adopt that well known catch phrase from a short-lived talk show that I had always liked.

Thanx, Arsenio.
