Not a good day. Not a good day at all. Well, actually, it's not quite as bad as all that. Which doesn't mean it wasn't bad...just not as much gloom and doom as it seemed at first glance.

Essentially, we have two vehicles, and they actually went down within hours of one another. The van had suddenly stopped starting. No cranking. Nothing. Thankfully, it turned out to be a simple problem that was easily fixed. Literally within minutes of that repair, the car would crank, but not turn over (which it was doing fine the day before.) Then, all of a sudden, the van would not shift out of park. A little research suggests that the problem may be as simple as a brake or back up light fuse (let's hope.) The car, on the other hand, may be a little more serious. Oil in the spark plug tubes. Which means, new plugs, new tube seals, new ignition cables, and a new valve cover gasket. Simple enough (in theory), but not something you want to hear when you're still looking for a job.

I try not to let stuff like this get me down, but, damn, sometimes it's hard.
